Hi all, you know the drill, long time lurker first time poster yada yada...

Just after a little bit of advice, if I may. This will be my third hackintosh so I'm starting to get the hang of things, but this ones a little more unconventional. My missus has this MSI X350 laptop. I'm considering trying to get sl up and running on it, but I'm a little concerned about hardware compatiblilty etc.

The system is a C2D based Centrino, running on an Intel GS45 mobile chipset. Realtek audio and ethernet. Not sure about wifi yet.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a go at one of these (or similar models) and have any insight/experience to share before I dive head in? Am I just wasting my time? Will I need to use the Legacy iBoot?

Also, could someone please tell me a compatible mini pci-e wifi card that I can use if I do get this going?

Thanks in advance.
Jamie

For anyone intersted, this has worked suprisingly well so far (with one major hiccup).

Snow Leopard installed fine using standard iBoot and the PCIRootUID=1 switch. Audio, ethernet and USB working out of the box. Run Combo update to 10.6.8 and EasyBeast with the PS2 kyb/mce kexts. All working brilliantly so far.

Now the catch = Intel GMA 4500 graphics. I should have done a little research before hand as it looks like im not the only one to have troubles with this chipset. Does anyone have a little insight on where to go from here? A lot of what I'm finding online is in other languages or not very usefull. I would be happy with native res, even if I cant have acceleration.

Also I'm yet to look at wifi, card reader and webcam. i believe the wifi is a ralink chip. Again can anyone provide any tips on getting this going? Should I just hunt down a compaitble card? Also battery metering?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
