Could be related... power management is not implemented correctly, see: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...nagement-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-laptops.html

As far as HDMI, it could be that HDMI is dedicated to the nvidia part? Check in Windows...
Hello Rehabman I am now running my computer on Maverick 10.9.0. I have a haswell computer type computer. Also when I plug my HDMI cord into the side of my laptop my laptop now freezes. So I guess with the changes in Maverick they have better graphics support. My video memory now reads 1536MB up from the usually 1024MB. I have some artifacts on the menu tool bar probably due to the higher memory dedicated to graphics on 10.9.0. I am currently time machining my hard drive. So if I have to upgrade I won't have to start completely from scratch. Please take a look at this file and give me your advice. If you can give me some helpful advice I might post another thread in the Maverick section. Also what version of Marerick are you running on your computer? What Kext files are responsible for the HDMI port. I loaded the bare minimum kext files to avoid my computer from locking up and I add kext files one at a time to get things fixed.

I had somebody help me get my dsdt working correctly. I am using your 10.9.1 AppleHDA.kext file and the 10.9.1 Kext Graphics Files of IntelAzulFB.Kext File and the 3 AppleIntelHD5000 files. Here are my files. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wrnlfh9xejwn32f/MSI GE70 2PE 012US.zip
I am running 10.9.4 with a Clover UEFI boot loader. I am using voodoo power management. Should I use 10.9.4 power management or stay with voodoo?

You should implement native PM: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-haswell-laptops.html

I don't publish a 10.9.1 AppleHDA.kext...

Try to use the kexts from 10.9.4 instead of rollbacks.... Rollbacks should be considered only when necessary.
