Mouse Scolling... Up = Down, Down = Up?

Why would this be a new feature in OSX Lion?

At least there's an adjustment for it in System Preference > Mouse.

It is one of the features of Lion.....Inverse Scrolling

It is "natural" scrolling (i.e. the way you do it in iOS)

A guy posted on a review I was reading that this is one feature that apple haters will use to justify that Apple favors form over function. Although this is not true at all, I do agree that this is a stupid thing to put on a desktop. This works with a tablet and a touch interface, not with a mouse. At least we can turn this off.
