Mouse pointer speed is too slow on 10.8.2

I've tried various tweaks to increase my mouse pointer speed on mountain lion. It just doesn't feel smooth or very fast and accurate VS using windows 7. Anybody have any tips? I've read a lot of people have this issue as well. Something About apple removing pointer acceleration.

It is a known fact that the mouse pointer implementation on Mac is just not as good as on Windows. But there is this project that is attempting to solve it: http://smoothmouse.net/

WOW... thanks for that, made a world of difference. that app should be included with multibeast.

now if apple can only fix the video/audio lag within photo booth id be 100% happy.
