Hi there,

I have a mostly successful Hackintosh. Build below.

I have installed with Multibeast Lion edition, used the correct DSDT for my mobo.

Problems remaining are

- mouse gets 'stuck' in some apps. In open office, if I click a spreadsheet tab, it seems to seize as if I want to drag the tab elsewhere, and I can't release it. Also happens sometimes in Final Cut Pro, and most recently Mail - same odd "stickiness" like it wants me to drag something but can't drop it.

-USB hard drives only mount on boot

-Ethernet only connects if plugged in on boot.

I've tried alternate mice and USB ports, same stickiness.

Any ideas, or places I should be looking for debug info?

Here is some console out from me getting stuck again, in console. I have to restart the app to clear the pointer problem.

edit:
I get loads of these in console too:
Code:
25/01/2012 07:49:20.000 kernel: IOSurface: buffer allocation size is zero
so I have uninstalled Flash to see if that helps like it says here:

Cheers!

So has it helped you then?

I have the same issue with same error coming form dmesg.

Running lion on Z68x-ud3p-b3 f6 with logitech perfomance mx and K350 wireless keyboard.

Tried using diff drivers, setups, dongles, mice...upgraded bios (was at f4 at first), changed dstds, kernel parameters...been with it for over a month and still no solution and I can't really tell what's causing and can't reproduce it either -- simply every 10-15 minutes the mouse would stuck or get out of sync or the keyboard gets lagged...

[UPDATE] Seems uninstalling flash stops the IOSurface errors, and from couple of hours without it, it seems to improve the mouse responsiveness somewhat and I haven't had a "stuck" since. However, mouse is still not smooth as in Win/Lnx and I could still say its laggy... also, Chrome comes with its built-in Flash plugin, and giving up Chrome to fix a bug is no way to work....

Hi, I thought uninstalling the most recent flash for safari had cured it, but had a mouse sticky error this morning. I was trying to drag a photo file from my desktop to the trash.

All I can see is something that always comes up in the console log about NSApplication? Anyone?

Code:
31/01/2012 08:00:10.065 com.apple.dock.extra: Could not connect the action buttonPressed: to target of class NSApplication
31/01/2012 08:00:10.066 com.apple.dock.extra: 2012-01-31 08:00:10.064 com.apple.dock.extra[160:1707] Could not connect the action buttonPressed: to target of class NSApplication

Still I can't drag and drop from finder, from one folder to another, or drag file into the trash. The file gets 'stuck' to the pointer. There are no console error logs when I try this.

Anyone any idea what to try next?

Nearly everything else works ok but this is infuriating.
Cheers.

FYI If I sleep and wake the machine, I can then drag and drop.

I think i'm gonna try apple trackpad...lots of users are saying those problems dont appear on the trackpad.
Thanks for the links, they have answered a mystery. But now it's a question of whether or not Apple ever actually fixes this problem. If you're a conspiracy theorist, this may be a ploy to make more people buy the Magic Trackpad. :D

Just wanted to give you all an update - using Apple trackpad together with Asus USB-BT21 bluetooth seems to have solved all my issues (logitech k350 keyboard and mx performance mouse).

Adapter works OOTB and trackpad and keyboard wrok flawlessly (wake from sleep and all...)

Go figure...
