Folks -

I think I am missing a step. I upgraded to Mountain Lion using Unibeast 1.5.3. Boots fine, except needs Unibeast to boot load the OSX. When I remove the Unibeast USB, it just keeps re-booting after trying to load mountain lion. Could that be a bootloader Chimera version issue?

I have GA-H61N-USB3 i3-2105..

Thoughts??

Unibeast USB works but the install doesn't. So what is in Unibeast that is keeping the install from rebooting?

The following kexts are in the Extra/Extensions folder on Unibeast:

AHCI_3rdParty_SATA.kext
AppleACPIPlatform.kext
EvOreboot.kext
FakeSMC.kext
IONetworkingFamily.kext
JMicron36xATA.kext
NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

The only one that strikes me as powerful enough to prevent a reboot is AppleACPIPlatform.kext. So my suggestion is to copy AppleACPIPlatform.kext from Unibeast/Extra/Extensions to ML/Extra/Extensions.

May work. May not.

SOLVED Mountain Lion - Upgrade from Lion 10.7.4 - Reboots continously after install

Updated the Chimera boot loader in Multi Beast 5.0... It boots fine...so far so good.
