I built my Hackintosh about 6 months ago using parts recommend in one of the CustoMac builds on this site.

I installed Snow Leopard and then upgraded to Lion with minimal problems. Eventually, I got everything to work with the exception of "Sleep Mode" (no big deal).

I purchased Mountain Lion and used the UniBeast method on here to upgrade...but it always goes to an Apple screen with a "NO" symbol.

My question is - can I do a fresh install of Mountain Lion on a different harddrive and then move my Applications folder from my old harddrive over to the new installation? Or do I need to do something more to get my old stuff on the new installation?

I tried with a new SSD drive to do a fresh install of Mountain Lion and again I got the "No" symbol on the Apple screen when booting from the UniBeast USB.

I tried -x and GraphicsEnabler=0.

Is there something else I can try?

if your graphics card is HD6850, you will need to use the internal graphics or remove the HD6850 and use another card such as HD5770... check out the thread on HD6xxx card...
