How do I fix this 98-99% idle issue?
It is showing me this percentage all the time. playing/moving from 98 or so to 99%.

Computer is running great (or so i think?)

I'm using ML 1.8.

My spec:

Intel 3930K CPU
Intel DX79TO Motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 GPU

Are you doing something that is cpu intensive that would take more resources than 2%?

Nope not at all. Browsing and that's it.

It's always like that. maybe it is not showing the right parameters or there is something slowing the system?

Look in activity monitor, what process is using cpu? Make sure you have it set to 'All Processes'.

Did that already. absoloutley nothing! It looks like a bug/false alarm.

It's still showing me 98-99% idle but nothing is raping the cpu. computer is running smooth so I don't know.

I don't know if it's important to mention but geekbench score is 15396

More suggestions maybe?

keep the activity monitor open and run geekbench

Good score.

Do you use native cpupowermanagement? Maybe you should patch it with multibeast patch.

Don't think so. As far as I know power management is disabled / impossible for socket 2011.

Maybe I'm wrong? :banghead:

If so, do you have a link for one that is NOT going to kill my OS?

No, you are correct. PM not working with socket 2011.

Your % idle is normal for a system not running any cpu intensive apps.
