Hi I'm new into Hackintoshing,

I have a Lenovo W530, and I bought a new hard drive just for Mountain Lion.
These are some of my specifications:

Intel Core i7 3720QM @ 2.60GHz, 8 CPUs, 4 Cores
NVIDIA Quadro K100M
WD Scorpio Black 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s
Physical Memory 4GB
Intel Ivy Bridge

Do you think it will be okay to install Mountain Lion on it?
I appreciate your help!!

Hi,

I have 10.7.5 installed on my W530. Here's what I know about its compatibility.

-ethernet, keyboard, trackpad, trackpoint, and battery meter work with the proper kexts
-audio mostly works with VodooHDA (I have to manually switch output if I plug headphones in)
-HD 4000 should work, but I haven't gotten it working yet
-Wifi and discrete graphics don't work

I think it will be the same with Mountain Lion.

I hope this helps

Thanks for your reply!
How does your Lenovo feel so far? Do u like the 10.7.5?
Is it as fast as you imagined at first? :p

Thank you!

The W530 is a fine computer and pretty fast for a laptop. Lion isn't very usable right now because I don't have graphics acceleration working so I'm mostly using Windows. If I can get the graphics working, I'll probably end up using Lion a lot more. Before getting this W530, I had a desktop with Lion and Windows 7 and I rarely used Windows.

Right right!

Okay thank you for your help so much, and if you find a way for the graphics card lemme know.
I have the HD 4000, and the same NVIDIA as you!

Thanks
