Don't believe me? No codec ids, no sound possible.

I do believe you, I'm just very new to this and horribly confused. I'm really sorry. Could you tell me how to get the codecs? Is there a problem with my MoBo? It appears to have all the correct components. Have I installed everything correctly (I connected the HD Sound to my BetFenix prodigy and have installed the PSU to the motherboard... there seem to be no extra cables). Do I need to buy something extra? What have I done wrong?

Thankyou for giving me so much of your time.

Hi, I've been having some audio playback quality issues I think since upgrading to 10.8.5. I followed the instructions on how to update after upgrading to 10.8.5 and the audio works, but the sound quality is frequently but intermittently distorted. Audio often distorts when clicking between programs, windows, or tabs, but that's not always true. The sounds are very muffled and distorted, sometimes it will come back to full audio on it's own. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mobo: GA-Q77M-D2H
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 650
OS X 10.8.5 Supplemental 1
Used Multibeast No DSDT, ACL887/888 to update after 10.8.5 install.
