I have a I5 and a MSI board now that I run and all I need to do is get a kext for my network to work.

Is there a MotherBoard out there that just runs needing no addition kext with the I5 cpu?
I was going to go with the ThunderBolt board but read thunderbolt doesn't hot swap and usb 3 is slow making it not worth the extra money to me then.

So just looking for the simplest I5 Board to use for my hack since my board with my mac keyboard won't control the volume from the keyboard.

Installing the kexts for the motherboards in the Buyer's Guide only requires you to run MultiBeast and check the proper boxes.

You should be able to find a step-by-step guide, in these forums, that will even show which boxes to check.

If your MSI uses a Realtek audio chip then it should be easy to get your sound working on it.

Are you concerned with your volume keys not working with the Realktek kexts?

If so then you might want try a mac-compatible USB sound card. If have a Creative Labs USB Mac and PC-compatible sound card that works flawlessly.
