same here with GM Monterey smbios error:
after message could not install firmware-update i changed smbios to iMac16,2 installation passed message

after succesfull complete installation i changed smbios back to iMacPro1,1(mine) or your orginal smbios before

with clover 5141

I have the same problem but not tried change SMBIOS, earlier maybe 18.1 or 17.2. Why use first iMacPro1.1?
can you send me your EFI folder?

Oh! worked on Asus z370A 19.1 changed to iMac16.2 install go on.
