5 Gp100’s and 3 Titan x’s
Hello everyone! I have been a long time lurker and first time poster. I have been working on a Mac Pro 5,1 since I purchased it back in 2010 and have done quite a few things to keep it as my main work horse. 6tb of SSD 64 gigs of ram, and here is the big one: I have a cubix expander box with 3 Titan x’s. 1 in the machine, 2 outside in the expander box. Here is where I have decided to finally throw in the towel waiting for Apple to get their **** together on a pro machine. I have 5 nvidia Quadro GP100’s I just received on top of the 3 Titan X’s I have in the machine. No matter what combo, the Mac Pro just won’t boot with more than 3 gpu’s. It’s time to hackintosh! I have looked at purchasing from Origin or Falcon Northwest and building a monster rig but I just don’t know what I can do that would be compatible. My goal is to get all of these cards in one machine 3 internal and 4 external (one pcie slot used for host adapter) and keep one Titan x in my Mac Pro to keep it running as a secondary machine. I’m very new to the hackintosh world but I think this is the only option I have to get something that will utilize all these gpu’s in one rig. (Octane render engine and redshift render engine in Cinema 4D) I would Love to hear from all of you that are willing to help me. Thank you all in advanced for keeping up such an awesome community!

Have you looked at KGP's "How to build iMac pro"?
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...c-pro-successful-build-extended-guide.229353/

You'd probably want to extrude that to the Asus WS-X299-SAGE board, with its plx chips.

This will NOT be an easy build.

You'll definitely NEED to learn a bit about ACPI and DSDT tables etc. Read this a few times to see if you have the stomach for it:

Good luck.
