Mojave doing nothing but black screen

Just sitting there forever never loading at the "Loading Operating System ..." screen. All instructions followed to the letter to create install media. I'm pretty savvy at this stuff and have built several hackintoshes since Snow Leopard, but this is a "deal breaker" after waiting almost an hour for the creation of the usb disk. Others have taken no more than 15 minutes.

Any suggestions on what to do to get past the screen?

GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (Rev 1.3), i-5 2500K processor that was previously running El Capitan just great.

Do you use the AMD Radeon HD 6850?
Mojave requires Metal API compatible GPUs, so anything below Intel HD4000/ Nvidia Kepler/ AMD 7xxx Series will not work.

As BreBo said the current listed hardware is incompatible with Mojave ; get a PCIE Graphics supported by Mojave or can Install HS with the current hardware.

Accelerated graphics won't be possible, but the default VESA driver is still likely to drive the graphics card.

But the OP seems to have a problem with the USB install disk -- EFI partition is missing.
