Hi Guys

im starting with a new build. This time with:
MOBO: Sabertoot Z77 and NVMe
Disk: Samsung PM981 1TB
Adapter: Roline PCIe Adapter 2x 110mm M.2 SATA SSD interfacecard/-adapter
BIOS: I got a custom bios (https://www.bios-mods.comhttps://www.bios-mods.com so it should support NVMe.

Ok here is the problem
step 1 created a UniBeast UEFI MOJAVE USB: Works
Step 2 Load it into OSX installer: Works
Step 3 Format NVMe: Failed... it doesn't show up in the bios

Has anyone got the same MOBO.. Do I have to do some voodoo in the bios, terminal...

please Help

Like the Samsung 970 EVO Plus, the SM981 is known to cause kernel panics in macOS.

I don't know of any fix available.

Also, your PIC-e adaptor says SATA. There's no mention of NVMe support.

@pastrychef your were right.. totally missed the PCI-e adapter.. Whoopsie.. thanks

Anyway.. I started installing Mojave, everything runs ok.. unitllll...

IN The Disk Utility the disk I format is to GUID en HFS+
When I examen the disk it states is is not bootable see screenshot..

Does anybody know if there is a bios controller to switch on or something..

installing Mojave is successful but it will nog boot..

Try initializing the disk to GUID APFS. Mojave, by default, will not boot from HFS+ anymore.

Done... trying install again..

stil states... not bootable..
starting to wonder if the nvme disk wasn't the best idea

You can try either one. It should boot and continue with the installation. Keep choosing to boot from the installer until it's no longer an option.

Or, you can just clone your existing system drive...

It runs trough the startup sequence, than the screen turns white.. I think the graphic ate card loading... the you see install progresss bar and it Boots again.. @!#$#@$#$@#@$
