Hello,
I recently upgraded from Sierra to Mojave. I finally decide to buy a new graphic card.
So specs are:
i5-3450 ivy bridge
asrock z77 pro 4
Asus radeon rx580 (dual-rx580-04g)
I installed Mojave via the old setup with GeForce GTX 660, which had glitches but the system otherwise worked.
I knew I will be exchanging the graphic card the next day, so I did not install anything for the graphic card and there was no need gtx was perfectly recognised by Mojave, but was glitchy.
When I exchanged the graphic card from gtx660 to rx580 this happened:
Moments after the loading Apple logo appeared the screen went black and after a few seconds started to flick every 2 -3 seconds .
After a long research I decided to test the most banal things first like cables .
It turns out Mojave does not support HDMI nor dvi.
Also it has to be a good display port cable, otherwise there is flickering while scrolling in Safari for instance.
Solution was: good diplay ports, one monitor is connected via displayport to displayport, the other is dvi to cheap dongle to hdmi to DisplayPort. ( just reused some old dongle that was at home...)
Hope it helps further hackintoshers!
