After following this guild https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...on-sierra-10-12-and-high-sierra-10-13.210574/ I was finally able to get my 290 to show up in system information as R9 290/390 with correct 4096MB and it shows second monitor connected but the screen is black. Before the system information would have the VRAM blank, no kext loaded, and not register the monitor. Now everything looks correct, device ID shows 67B1, correct vendor ID and PCIe lane width x16, and EFI driver version is 01.00.3180 which is all the same as the 290x, with the exception that its ID is 67B0 which is correct for that card. Screen is always black no matter if I use either of the two DVI ports, HDMI, or DP. On the 290x, the DVI ports don't output but HDMI and DP are working, so I use those two. I have triple monitor so I either want to get the DVI ports working on the 290x (less cables when booting into Windows and for crossfire) or just one port to work on the 290. System specs are:

CPUs - 2x X5675

Motherboard - EVGA SR-2

RAM - 96GB ECC

GPUs - XFX 290X reference, ASUS 290 reference

I have RadeonDeInit=True, InjectATI=True, Radeon framebuffer (have tried Baladi, Hawaii, Greyhound, all same result), SMBIOS is for MacPro6,1.

Did you check wether the 290's device ID is in the drivers in Mojave? Can't check myselt at the moment, can't update yet due to missing WebDrivers.
If it's missing, try spoofing it to 290X's ID. Or try using Lilu/Whatevergreen with vanilla Clover settings.

Yes I had to manually put in the device id into the kexts. It loads and correctly identifies each card as 290/390 and 290X. I tried spoofing with clover and lilu/whatevergreen but it never loaded the extension right.
