I successfully installed Mojave 10.14.1 (clean install). The standard system definition is iMac 14,2 which works...great actually. Sleep, handoff/continuity, iMessage (after applying correct ID in SMBIOS) are all working smooth as butter. However, to make my Hackintosh match a real Mac as close as possible I want to use iMac 18,3 system ID since I use a i7700k processor.

When I change to 18,3 the boot results in a black screen after the apple logo shows. This is weird as I have been using 18,3 before without problems (however handoff has never been working well).

Does anybody have an idea what may have caused this? All the boot settings are the same. I am using latest whatevergreen and lilu. Have I missed something obvious?

Since iMac 14,2 is working so PERFECTLY should I just leave my settings the way they are? Don't fix what is not broken right? Any suggestions?

I am using an I5 8400 and have the same issue. I am using Mac Pro 6.1 definition for now. I gutted an old Mac Pro case and used it for my build. Imac 14.2 definition also works. Mojave works flawlessly including App Store updates.

Would love to use the correct definition but I guess we have to wait for now.
