Is it hackable? "Slugnet's Video Editor" Golden Build with modifications. My first Hackintosh.

Hello,
I'd like to make my own Hackintosh based on "Slugnet's Video Editor" but I'm new and I don´t know if this will work.

This is my wish:

• Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
• IntelCore I7-3770K, 3.5 GHz, socket 1155
• Corsair Vengeance RAM DDR3 (PC1600, 16 GB, CL9)

• Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 2 GB, PCI-E 3.0 (for GPU)
• ATI 5770 Mac Edition (for GUI)
• Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 2

• Lindy 3-Port FireWire 2x 800 1x 400 Card, PCIe, PCI-Express
• Lindy 2-eSATA PCIe

• Corsair CMPSU-750AXEU, 750 W
• 1 x SanDisk SSD 128GB SDSSDP-128G-G25
• 4 x Seagate 1TB HDD (RAID 0 using Disk Utility)

• NZXT Source 210 Elite

Do you think this will work if I follow Slugnet's Video Editor steps?

Why do you need a second video card (that 5770)?

• Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 2 GB, PCI-E 3.0 (for GPU)
• ATI 5770 Mac Edition (for GUI)
Like Jamesbond007 says, what is that for? A GPU is a graphics processor (or possibly the whole card), a GUI is a user interface (what you see on screen).

Even if you feel you need another graphics card, don't forget the one integrated into your CPU.

Davinci Resolve works very well this 2 cards, one for the two monitors and the NVIDIA with CUDA just processing (RENDER).
I didn't realize I can use the integrated one. This would liberate my ATI and I could sale it. :)

I made some changes to my hackintosh; I'll write as soon as i come home.

Thank you. ;)

I changed some elements:

• Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
• IntelCore I7-3770K, 3.5 GHz, socket 1155
• Corsair Vengeance RAM DDR3 (PC1600, 16 GB, CL9)

• Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 2 GB, PCI-E 3.0
• ATI 5770 Mac Edition (for GUI) I'll use integrated DVI and VGA outputs if they work well.
• Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 2 (I own)

• Lindy 3-Port FireWire 2x 800 1x 400 Card, PCIe, PCI-Express
• Lindy 2-eSATA PCIe (I own)

• 1 x SanDisk SSD 128GB SDSSDP-128G-G25
• 3 x Seagate 1TB HDD (RAID 0 using Disk Utility) (I own)
• 4 x Seagate 2TB HDD (RAID 5 using Disk Utility) (I own)

• Corsair CMPSU-750AXEU, 750 W
• NZXT Source 210 Elite

Are 750w enough or maybe i'll need 850W... ?
The question is the same, Will it work if I follow slugnet's steps?

I've got a SMC usb-bluetooth adapter that works without any driver. It will continue working, won't it?

Al last, my hackintosh arrived!

I'm installing it, but i have a big dude: What goes where? :crazy: Is it correct?

• +- HDD LED -> BLUE +HD-
• POWER SW -> RED +PW-
• RESET SW -> GREEN -RES+
• + PLED -> YELLOW + MSG
• - P LED -> YELLOW - MSG

I switch on my hackintosh but it doesn't boot; I'm think it is all correctly pluged but I'll write here what i did:

My hackintosh "MONSTRUO":

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
Intel BX80637I73770K - Core I7-3770K
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti, 2 GB
SanDisk SSD 128GB
Lindy 3-Port FireWire 800 Card, PCIe,
Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2, 750 W

BOX:
Corsair Carbide 400R

I installed the processor, Ram and graphic card in the only possible way and then i plugged the cables. I'm 99% sure they are correctly installed, but when i try to install Mountain Lion from the USB, MY COMPUTER DOESN'T BOOT ! o_O

It starts but inmediantly stops and I dont't really know why. Could you help me, please?

Need a little more info than that bud. WHen you say it doesn't boot what does that mean? Do you get video? Do you get the BIOS splash screen? Does it say insert a boot drive? Need more info.

Oh, sorry.

All what i get is 2 seconds of fans starting to spin. Then it stops and "shut down".

I would say either you have some bad hardware or something is not installed correctly. Does your motherboard have any LED outputs that will give you hints on what is going on?
