I am desperately needing some help. I built a Hackintosh a few month ago.
Everything was working great. Then one night, my motherboard crashed.
I replaced it with the same model and got all the same hardware installed again. I have the same bios version. I switched the hpet to 64bit and to achi mode. I plugged my hard drives in and powered the machine on. It showed the Apple logo screen and I was super excited. Then the Apple logo went away and it's just a grey screen. I can't get it to boot at all.

I'm really good with Windows machines but not so much with Macs.
Please help.

I know I could wipe everything and start fresh but I have some video editing I was working on and don't want to lose it.

Is it possible to fix this issue? Am I missing something important? Can I fix it without a reinstall? Any help or recommendations is much appreciated.

A little more information:
I tried booting in safe boot and it showed the Apple logo. Then a no smoking type icon came up and it just stayed there. If I try booting in any other mode like GraphicsEnabler or single boot, it just shows the apple logo loading. Then the apple logo goes away and stays at a blank screen.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Can someone please tell me if I am right in thinking that it should work fine if I replaced it was the exact same type board? Sorry to post three times. I will stop now :) Thanks guys.
