Microphone not working

I got everything working except for the mic. My computer reads that it is there, it just does not function. I'm using GA-H67M-D2-B3, it has ALC889. Anyone had luck with this specific mobo getting their microphone to work?

Same issue on H67MA-D2H-B3. No solution yet, using iMic when I need to use my headset for Skype. I'm using ALC892.

For some reason my system didn't like my analog mic. Bought a usb one and it works fine. if you go buy a usb mic, make sure you go into your system preferences and select usb as in input/output.
