Microphone not working (Inspiron 5558)

Hi,

I have my system up and running. Network is working fine sound is working okay (Sound comes at the 50% of the volume bar), but my microphone is not working.

Can you please help me with this. I checked FAQ but I couldn't find it. Your help is highly appreciated.

After restart my sound is gone. I don't know why is that but any one have idea for permanent solution?

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.
