Hi, does the new Unibeast allow for installation to a MBR partition.
I've read the rules and realise it's a grey area so I'd just like a yes or no answer really.
I hope I've not overstepped the mark by just asking.

Hi, does the new Unibeast allow for installation to a MBR partition.

No.

It is not an issue with Unibeast.
It is a limitation of the macOS/OS X installer itself.
Installing to MBR is never necessary.

It is when multibooting Windows and Linux on the same hard drive and you want Clover to display the Linux partition name.

Not necessary.
You can use a custom entry (read up on options in config.plist/GUI).

Sorry to bring this up again.
I cannot use a GUID partition scheme for the following reasons.
I want to multiboot OSX and Windows and Linux.
Windows will only install to GPT in UEFI mode.
My bios settings I need to change to use UEFI are greyed out and locked,
if I select UEFI it is only able to boot Win8 in secure mode.
My only options are to apply the MBR patch to the installer or create a Hybrid partition scheme
which has proved too delicate in the past.
It's very frustrating as I have installed High Sierra on a spare drive in GPT/legacy mode and it seems fine.

MBR patch is never needed.
You can always install macOS on GPT, then convert to MBR after installation.
You will also need to convert back to GPT during updates, then post-update, convert back to MBR.
