mavericks upgrade to el capitan

hi,
I am running a stable mavericks system with chameleon bootloader. Now I 'd like to directly upgrade to el capitan. I read that I need another bootloader, clover. I could not find a step by step guide. And I do not want to install yosemite before. Who can help me - thanks in advance!

Please put your specific motherboard model in the system information area on the left. It makes it much easier to give you reasonable advice.

I have a detailed guide for my board here. You should be able to at least get the idea from that, even though some of the specific kexts or files may or may not match.

Another option would be to install El Capitan to a new/separate drive, and just use Migration Assistant to copy your user account and applications from the old OS to the new one. That way you won't have to worry about getting Mavericks working under Clover.
