I decided enable the HDMI audio for more later and enable the onboard audio using this guide here http://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC


After of apply your tutorial, the onboard audio is working almost all. Why almost?, because the front ports are not working


I leave the information required

OS X: 10.9.2
Motherboard: Asus H81M-A
BIOS version: 1001 (last version)
Processor: i5 4440
Graphics: HD4600
Procedure: Clover Patched Realtek ALC method, applied to the native AppleHDA.kext
Guide used: http://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC
AppleHDA.kext version: 2.6.0f1
AppleHDA (codec) .kext: The guide did not mention about a similar kext, but codec Realtek, is ALC887
IOReg file: Attached
Config.plist file: Attached
DSDT: Attached
SSDT: Attached
Consola's messages: No kernel sound assertions found, but I leave the console file attached

front ports are not working

Audio is installed properly.

I guess that could be a hardware problem because in System Preferences -- Sound -- Output not show Headphones like a output device just shows IntSpeakers, 2 Line Out, Digital Output, Airport Express and AppleTV


And if I go at BIOS, the front panel audio is set to HD


If is an installation problem, means software problem or hardware problem?

Electrical problem, the codec does not see the front panel.

Just updated to 10.9.3 and ran the audio_alc898-92_patch.command for my GA-x79-UD3 mobo and no sound :< Any ideas?

Decided to run the patcher again after trying it several times previously, this time it decided to work. Didn't do anything different. Meh. Works.
