Mavericks, Haswell and native PM

I tried upping the CPU Clock Ratio in the BIOS and setting the Uncore Ratio to the same multiplier. XMP is enabled and VRIN Loadline Calibration is set to Turbo profile. Everything else is left at default, which for most setting is Auto. So the BIOS is setting CPU core voltage and it's choosing values a bit lower than Ian Cutress did.

Currently I'm running at 45 x 100.0 MHz. I don't dare stress testing with Prime95 with this OC (at 43x it got as high as 135 W and the temp sensor was pegged at 100 C) but the POV-Ray benchmark worked fine at 45x.

I can't speak for the PM though since I'm on SB and it works fine. But what kind of CPU cooling are you using? 100ºC for 4.3GHz at Auto Vcore is extremely high, even with stock cooling. I suggest you check if it is mounted properly.

I think it's a Zalman CNPS10X Performa. I moved it from an older system. It may not be properly mounted. I did not reapply thermal paste, just left what was there.

My present OC is 4.5 GHz and it's been fine for some weeks. Under normal workload the hottest it gets is about 85 C and that's when compiling something big like the kernel or PHP.
