Well I plugged it into HDMI and it worked. So it did work, but didn't exactly display on my display. Do I have to get a kext for my graphics driver. It's also really glitchy on the screen.

Your problem involving the internal display (IGPlatformID) is answered in the guide.

You need to try various values until you find the one required by your laptop.
