Yes, it is on the App Store right now.

The morality lines for building customacs have been blurred by apple making the os free. Buying it and then doing as I pleased was pretty clear that it's aok. That said, I think this business strategy is for them to focus on where their new major profit lies which is selling content and apps for which they get 30% of the take for everything sold in itunes and the MAS.

If everyone is on the same os, it's easier for more people to want the latest and greatest paid software.

(And yes, it's like putting a new machine in your machine, it's so much faster)

Yes, it is on the App Store right now.

It's not on the App Store for me. I've closed and re-opened, checked to make sure i'm in the US store, closed setup a proxy for USA and refreshed, nada.

I just had to search 'mavericks' and then it said 'free upgrade'

only trying on my macbook for now. I want to try my hackintosh but cant afford any issue. Will clone with my superduper and then try maybe.

Anyone else try it out on hackintosh yet?
