Update about touchscreen on this laptop

If you want to try touchscreen under Mac OS X in this laptop, try this:

1) put nine fingers on your LCD screen and don't move
2) use the other finger as your mouse pointer to move and operate.

Yes, I know, it is not convenient. But at least it WORKS!

For notebooks Acer V5-572x with the bios v2.09, option FixHPET_0010=true can not be used! This option breaks the DSDT! And destroys the sleep/wake!
I sent a bug-report developers.
Slice fix this bug in Clover rev2406.

When using Clover 2406 or higher, option FixHPET_0010 can now be used with any version of the BIOS V5-572x.
patch HPET via a binary patch through config Clover - you can no longer use...

Hi

I could use some help for Installing CLOVER EFI boot into internal hard drive

Do I need to type in MKDIR /Volumes

1. Install CLOVER EFI boot into internal hard drive

I entered diskutil list but am not sure what to do next.

I see EFI ESP and EFI EFI

An image should be attached to show my confusion.

UPDATE:

Everything seems to be working fine with the exception of internet. I cannot use wifi and it looks like OS X recognizes an ethernet connection but isn't necessarily plug-and-play.

Has ANYONE been able to obtain internet access on their computer?

1) Under Mavericks, open terminal and mount the EFI partition from internal HDD

diskutil list (to identify the EFI location, mostly disk0s1 if no mSATA installed, in your case, maybe something like disk1sx)
Based on your picture, your EFI is in disk0s2

mkdir /Volumes/EFI

sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s2 /Volumes/EFI

(After these, you will see one partition called “ESP” appear)

Do as above and then you will be able to continue install of CLOVER

The internal Ethernet card and wireless card won't work as mentioned. You may replace the wireless card or buy USB wireless adapter

Thank you for the reply,

Have you personally swapped out the internet card and/or used an internet dongle?

Yes. I switched to this wireless card on the first day I got this laptop and upgrade the ram to 12GB too

The ethernet card is not switchable. Only wireless card can

Broadcom BCM94322HM8L

Thanks again, I'm having difficulty with audio. Have you been able to get audio to work? HDMI is working fine for me.

Since you just replaced your HDD, if you still have the old HDD untouched, connect the old HDD to USB case and boot OS X from this old HDD, then you should be able to install clover to the new HDD from there. If necessary, unmount the new HDD before install like RehabMan said

I tried it, it doesn't work either. Did you install EmuVariable and the RC scripts without error?
