Is it possible to make the white apple loading screen full screen on my monitor instead of just a square? When Im in the actual OS its fullscreen just not the boot screen.

which connection do you use? when i use the HDMI, the boot screen is a white square with black borders, when i use VGA it goes full screen.

Interested in this issue too... I know it's very minor and it's only there for a few seconds up on the screen...

For me, I'm using a DVI-D. Black border around, but goes full screen 1920px wide when on the OSX blue screen/osx desktop.

Im using a VGA connection but its running from a DVI to VGA adapter on my 5770.

In your com.apple.Boot.plist try adding your resolution in this form:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1200x32</string>

if you screen uses overscan you're doomed... when you get to the chimera (or whatever) push any button to get to the menu and select the graphics choice. the list you see are the resolutions available at boot.
