macOS 11.0 Big Sur is Now Available on the Mac App Store

macOS 11.0 Big Sur is now available from the Mac App Store. Anyone who has purchased Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, OS X 10.7 Lion, OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, or has OS X 10.9 Mavericks, OS X 10.10 Yosemite, OS X 10.11 El Capitan, macOS 10.12 Sierra, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, macOS 10.14 Mojave, or macOS 10.15 Catalina installed will be able to upgrade for no cost.

What we know about 11.0.1 so far...

• macOS Build 20B29 (Released 11/12/2020), macOS Build 20B50 (Released 11/19/2020)
• Release version is macOS Big Sur 11.0.1
• First macOS version for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs
  • Make sure the software you use has been updated for macOS Big Sur compatibility before updating.
• Updated bootloader required for installation. Update to OpenCore 0.6.3 or higher or Clover Release v5.1 r5126or higher.
  • Note: Clover requires proper Quirks config.plist additions. See here for details.
• Updated drivers:
  • Updated AppleALC, Lilu, VirtualSMC and WhateverGreen may be required.
• Note: macOS Big Sur Does NOT Boot with iMac14,2 System Definition

Yes- made a note in the OP that release version is 11.0.1. Not sure yet- still downloading. The latest RC was 20B28 I thought.
