Hi everyone! I installed macOS Sonoma on an HP Z420 in December 2023. Unfortunately, my main SSD stopped booting after a GPU driver update for my GTX 710.
I then spent a week trying to get macOS working on an HP Z440, but no matter what I did, the system wouldn't recognize any drives. Frustrated, I went back to my Z420.
Here's the current issue: I have a PCIe NVMe to M.2 adapter. While macOS sees the drive externally, it doesn't show up as an internal boot option. I've followed various guides and tried tools like innie and nvmefix, but haven't found a solution.
After installing macOS to the disk, it simply doesn't appear in the boot picker. I'm super confused! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I could probably get back up and running by using a different SATA SSD, but it would be much slower.
