I'm having a quite persistent problem to which so far, I was unable to find a solution to.
When putting the mac to sleep, it does so, but as soon as the power led indicates sleep it restarts. macOS then gives me the following error message:

My system is as following:
Asus Z170-A, Intel i5 6400, Crucial Budget 16GB 2133Mhz, Corsair CX500M PSU.

I've attached my zipped clover folder.

"pmset -g log | grep -i failure" gives this: "Drivers Failure panic during wake due to GFX0(),SAT0():"

Highly appreciate any help!

This is the details macOS gives:

First thing to check is in System Preferences -> Energy Saver do you have "Start up automatically after a power failure" checked? I checked the details, and you do have a boot arg of darkwake=8 which helps control wake from sleep. There are other settings (0-15) for this, one of which may be more appropriate for your motherboard. The discussion I have bookmarked on darkwake is old, but seems to still be relevant: Darkwake=0 Flag can break auto-sleep in 10.8.1!

Thank you for your reply! "StartUp automatically after power failure" is unchecked. I've tried the dark wake values 0, 8, 10 so far, with no change. I'll definitely check out your thread. :)

Just found out that while sleep is not working, hibernate does, when enabled through sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25

I very much didn't expect that.
