i have upgraded to 10.7.5 and now Lion won't starts. It gives me a kernel panic during boot related to ACPI: Unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".

Anyone know what should i do?

AFTER 10.7.5 UPDATE - COMPUTER REBOOTS INSTEAD, WHEN I TURN IT OFF + NO SOUND:

what is the right Multibeast setup to fix this?

I have the same board and chip. Using the update didn't work. What I did was prep a unibeast and installed over my 10.7.4. Then the sound worked with the usual multibeast tweaking.

I've had the rebooting issue and have found that a full shutdown gets rid of it. YMMV

Combo Update, then before reboot >> MultiBeast 4.6.1 >> Repair permissions, patched AppleHDA ALC889... easy as pie.

Did a Softwear update from OSX and it work good.
Only the sound i needed to reinstall.

on i7 2700, Asus Maximus IV Extreme-z with GTX 570

Just updated with COMBO but some problems :
- no sound after restart; have to return from AppleHDA 2.2.5 to AppleHDA 2.2.0 (patched)
- in iTunes, every time songs change, Dock crashes.

Could you more explanation. I don't have sound anymore after updating to 10.7.5.
I can't remember what I last time. Sthg like erase the old kext an using multibeast again to install new kext (but with one?)
How to know with kext fits my hardware?
