Apple has released a fixed version of the Security Update 2012-001, it's now at v1.1, with fixes for Rosetta (PowerPC emulation for Intel).

It contains all of the same security fixes present in Lion 10.7.3. Available through Software Update or here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1489

10.6.8 Snow Leopard Users Only.

After updating 2012-001 v.1.1 my monitor is now flickering white line at the bottom of the dock every 2 seconds.

I took off my Bluetooth dongle and the symptom is gone. :D
It's a Buffalo Bluetooth BSHSBD04BK.

Thanks TonyMac you are super awesome!

Security Update 2012-002 v1.0 for Snow Leopard 10.6.8?

On May 9th Apple pushed out Security Update 2012-002 v1.0 for Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I've been searching through the blog and forums trying to see if any issues were reported with this before I try to apply the combo update, but can't find any reference to it (just the similarly numbered one for Lion).

Part of the reason I haven't updated to Lion is I'm reluctant to mess too much with a functioning system, so can anyone tell me if this update is a smooth install or not?

(as a side note the Safari 5.1.7, Java update, and Remote Client updates pushed out around the same time installed without any problems - so this Security Update is now the only thing showing when I search for updates).

I installed this update and all is good on my hack. I updated my hack by downloading the stand alone installer and NOT via software update. :)
