Dear forum, after 5 hours of trying I'm asking Help :((

I have an Apple Mac Pro with Mac OS X High Sierra. On it VirtualBox 6.0.6

The problem is, I have a very old software that runs on 10.4 or perhaps 10.5 that I want to use.

So I want to install a older version of OS X on my Mac Pro. Don't know, what I'm doing wrong, but the boot keeps crashing all text time. I tried boot 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, 2.5, 3.2 and so on. Tryiet too reboot.

Can somebody please help me? Thanks a lot!

I can't understand, why Oracle gives as choice to install OS X Operating systems in the list of the OS, when the installation is not possible.

No idea....

iBoot was never designed to work in a virtual environment. You need to burn a phsyical CD disk and use that to install Snow Leopard on bare metal. You can install Rosetta on a SL hackintosh and then run any PowerPC apps that you'd like.

I have a first gen Mac mini that still works great. It's running Tiger. You could easily find one on Ebay to run your older PowerPC programs. Getting those to work in a VM is a very difficult task as you've found out. Other than an old G4 Mac it's best to build a Snow Leopard Hackintosh that should work.

The best hardware to run SL on is the HP 6200/8200 with an i5 or i7 CPU. You still need a SL graphics card like the 8400GS but they are incredibly inexpensive and can still be bought new. I wrote a short guide that you could use to get it running. Here's a 6200 Pro SFF on Ebay for under $70. https://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Compaq-...887839?hash=item3fbe137cdf:g:kzwAAOSwPHZctdYe

If you plan on staying with SL you can also run Multibeast post install to get everything working.
