Yo dudes!

So my install process works just fine up to the combo update. When I install the combo, it becomes unstable and the installer and/or multibeast crashes - just the app, not a kernel panic.

If I repeat the process and get a successful install (after crashing), I cannot boot the OS. When I try to boot it, it freezes before the rotating circle below the apple logo appears. Hitting a -v gives me the last command line I see before the boot freezes: "[ PCI configuration begin ]".

Any thoughts on this guys? I think the update crashing is causes kexts to get messed up, but I don't know how to check and fix them.

Thanks,

- Sam

Derp! Just found out that the IOPCIFamily.kext is supposed to fix this. Back in a sec, I suppose!

Hmm, doesn't work. Replaced .kexts with 10.6.7 ones, still hangs. Is there anyway to just the OS install at 10.6 and call it a day? 10.6 works like a charm, everything is recognized.
