Mac App Store Not Working!! OS X 10.7.5

Hi, upon trying to download an app from the Mac App Store, it prompts me for my apple ID password. After putting in my information, it says an unknown error has occurred. I am running Lion 10.7.5. Does anyone have this problem? Thanks

Can you sign into iCloud through System Preferences?

I assume not?

Nope. Can't use iCloud

I found that there is a checklist of things you have to get right before you can get the cloud working.

1. Your Ethernet needs to be recognised as EN01 and Builtin. Download a program called DCPIManager and have anlook if it it is.

2. Your UUID in "system report" may not be supported. On honesty, I don't know why but try this site to change your UUID with a kext.

I know you're on 10.7, but I'm assuming the same rules apply.
