M.2 Drive in current gen XPS13 9360

I've been hackintoshin for years, about to embark on the journey of getting this machine running smooth. I could really use some input from those with previous generations.

I haven't found any info for the 8th gen intel xps13, previous gen build guides indicate any NVME drive will not power manage in OSX, they suggested a non NVME samsung 850 M.2 drive.


Does anyone think the current 860 drive (I believe to be SATA non nvme) will be ok?

I am sincerely grateful for any information related whatsoever to the XPS13 /w 8th gen intel running OSX I should look at.

Once I debug a solid setup on this machine I will make a tutorial of my process.

The specs imply it is SATA, not NVMe:

No personal experience with it though.
