Low-profile AMD GPU's for Sonoma?

Is the Radeon RX 6400 GPU compatible with macOS Sonoma? It's not listed on the "Buyer's Guide".
Or: which other low-profile AMD GPU is Sonoma compatible?
Potentially for use with a pre-built HP or Dell machine with a low power PSU.

No, RX 6400 is not supported.

The least powerful consumer graphics card that is still available new and supports MacOS is the RX 6600 (Monterey / Ventura / Sonoma) but I don't think it is available in a low profile card.

You might have better luck finding a low profile WX 4100 which is supported on MacOS Sonoma.
 
Ok. Are any of these low-profile AMD GPU's Sonoma compatible?:
RX540, RX550, RX560, RX640, RX6450, WX2100, WX3100, WX3200.
Suggestion: include a (more or less) complete "Buyer's Guide" list of (new or used) Sonoma-compatible AMD GPU's,
including those which are low-profile.

As of today only WX4100 and RX560 (VisionTek LP version.) Possibly a Baffin based RX550 but I've never found one for sale. Most 550s are Lexa based and not LP.

Not low profile either. Most RX550s are Lexa based which are not supported. Takes some digging through specs to determine that. 512 SP tells you it's Lexa and not Baffin based. 640 SP models are Baffin based.

The VisionTek RX 560 is LP and supported. They do cost more though. Prices have not come down.

The WX4100 is the best deal going in used and macOS compatible Low Profile GPUs. Prices have gone down.
Costs a few dollars more to get the LP bracket to use with it.

There are some works in progress to add support for the Navi 24 series of AMD GPUs. This will include the RX6400 card.

NootRX.kext is a new Lilu.kext plugin that currently works with Navi 21, 22 and 23 series of AMD GPUs, incluiding the RX 6700/XT cards.

Future plans include adding the Navi 24 series of cards (RX6400 & RX6500/XT) for use in macOS.


At present the RX6400 low profile card is not working, but a bit of patience and who knows what will be functioning in a Hack.
