Lost OC after Chimera 2.0.1?

My system is set to 4.5 in BIOS but it's running at 3.4. It was fine prior to installing Chimera 2.0.1. Has anyone else had this problem? Why now? Do I need to SSDT to fix it?

Changing my system definition back to Mac Pro 3,1 has restored my OC, although I seem to recall there was some reason why I didn't like it...

EDIT: because it causes mad graphics stuttering with the window composite layer, apparently. Also, avoid F14 BIOS.
