I am using a AMD Radeon R9 270X which (I am hoping) is still supported. When I booted into Ventura - I lost my 4K options. Any ideas on what I need to change?

Thanks!

latest whatevergreen.kext ?
Good guess but yes.

I dropped back to Monterey and everything works fine again.

Maybe something like whatevergreen needs to get updated. It looks like I will need to be patient.

This is what it looks like in Monterey. Perhaps the AMDFramebufferSI dropped support for the R9. Bummer if true.

I also have an R9, Ventura did drop support for it. Maybe there will be a better solution in the future but right now I got it working fully using the OCLP root patcher. Go here and expand the section at the bottom that says `GPUs requiring patching in macOS Ventura` and you'll see the R9 there: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore...ALL.html#applying-post-install-volume-patches

You'll need to disable sip partially to `03080000` and also set SetBootModel to Disabled I believe. Then run the root patch using the OCLP program

You are correct: Some changes to make. I will have to temporarily (?) update my config file to be able to install.

It won't be temporary, after patching root I don't think sip can be turned back on. To disable AMFI, (I did this too but forgot to mention) add "amfi_get_out_of_my_way=0x1 -no-compat-check" to your boot-args config

I am having trouble turning off SIP. I booted up in Recovery and turned it off through the Terminal. Maybe my csr-active is incorrect. you suggested '030...'. It didn't work for me. I will try it again.

UPDATE - I am nervous about changing my main drive so I am using an USB to test. Maybe an issue?
