Yes - you have no DSDT so you need the PCIRootUID fix:

At the Chimera screen - type this:
Code:
PCIRootUID=1 -v

Then take a look at your bdmesg and hopefully it should load Vervet.

Ok, I did that. I can see it set the proper PCIRootUID, but it doesn't seem to load Vervet.

One other potentially useful tidbit. The output of gfxutil doesn't look like anything else I've seen (PciRoot of 0x50). Maybe this has something to do with it?
Code:
[rosiec@MALP]:[3]:[~]:$ /Applications/Utilities/gfxutil -f display
DevicePath = PciRoot(0x50)/Pci(0x7,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)

BTW if i try with PCIRootUID=0 then the screen is garbled and can't connect to the computer by Screen share, i already tried booting with Vervet, Uakari, Zonalis and Triakis as boot AtiConfig commands without result (Zonalis gives me KP)

Thanks in advance !!!!
If you boot with "GraphicsEnabler=No", does it boot fine? With Chimera and the ATI 1.6.34 drivers, your system should boot fine with "GraphicsEnabler=No", you should just end up without support for DVD Player, Steam, etc. You can also try "GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=0" and "GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1" and see if either works successfully. You should at least be able to boot with GE=No with your current setup. That tells you the system is working properly except for the framebuffer.

Otherwise... I'd recommend trying a couple more framebuffers. Try "Eulemur", "Duckweed" and "Baboon". These only work when booting GE=Yes, of course.

This is a shot in the dark, but it may have something to do with the unique architecture of the dual-socket motherboard you're using and the multiple PCI hubs/bridges it uses. Maybe the actual PCI Root of the card you're plugged into is supposed to be is supposed to be 0x50 for that board. Try this boot flag:

PCIRootUID=50

EDIT: Oh, and you do have the onboard Matrox video disabled in the BIOS, correct?

I think you should focus on using GE=Yes. Can you please post your EXACT model HIS card and a link please. Does it have 1 or 2 slots ? I.e. is it a reference design ?

Hello! Excuse me for my very late reply
My model card is H577FN1GD, my IDs are (bdmesg) [1002:68b8] + subsystem [1002:2543]
About reference design, this should be one (it has two crossfire ports and takes place in two pci ranks at the back of computer)
Do you need more info?
Thank you very much!!!

For the site, I found one that looks exactly the same and I suppose it's correct: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161310

Seems like everything I've been doing lately have been shots in the dark. ;)

I've tried doing PCIRootUID=50, and it treats it as 5, for some reason. I think the flag can only set single digits.

And yes, I've disabled the onboard video via the motherboard jumper... But I haven't checked the setting in the bios. Lemme check on that. Ok, the option no longer even shows up in the bios, so I think that's probably fine.

Another shot in the dark: Try moving the video card to different slots and booting again. Your board has a lot of PCI-E slots, and some hang off CPU 1 while others hang off CPU 2, so it may really matter where your video card is plugged in.

See what PCI root you get in each slot. If you can find one with a single-digit root, then you can do "PCIRootUID=" that root and try to boot that way. You may have to try all the slots, not just the full 16x ones, but if this works at all you can trial-and-error your way to the fastest slot that actually boots.

Re: Guide - New ATI Kexts from iMac 10.6.7 Update - 5XXX/6XXX

So I followed your guide (I hadn't dabbled in the sandy bridge kext stuff before) and now using uakari framebuffer on my reference XFX 5870, I lose my displayport, which is kind of a big deal since i'm connecting to a Dell u2711. Should I be changing my framebuffer?

Thanks for the help, Screen garbled starting with GraphicsEnabler=No with pciroot 1 or 0 same result.

Tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes
AtiConfig=Eulemur stops in SLOT---1 full aces thru Screen share,
AtiConfig=Duckweed reading vbios from legacy space ... Memory Allocation Error ... ERROR NON RECOVERABLE .
AtiConfig=Baboon stops in SLOT---1 full aces thru Screen share,

Please need help...
I tried with a Nvidia 9400Gt and works perfect (the same GE=Yes)
Thanks in advance

Please update your signature to your current hardware. We'd need to patch the framebuffer to get all of your ports working but I'd consider restoring the old kexts for now if you had better connectivity.

We will all have to move over to these new ones soon so this is currently experimental - if it doesn't work then I'd revert back for the moment.

Trash the current all the ATI***.kext in S/L/E and restore your normal kexts that were backed up to the ATI-backup folder on your desktop using KextBeast.

Update for the Batmobile 5770 - NO CHANGE !

Still 32fps in Cinebench with GE=Yes or GE=No, and still crashing apps if you use GE=No.

My recommendation for 5770 is for GE=Yes with Chimera 1.1.0 or later and that way you can change framebuffers more easily.

Can anyone with a 67XX or 69XX card test please?
