I am looking to build my first project and looking for a little help on this budget build ideas. If you have any input or know of any issues on the hardware listed below, please reply? If you think that I should change something to make the software install a little less painful I am all ears. I will be using this as a home pc, will be doing a little editing pictures/videos, internet and maybe some gaming. Again thanks reading and any input you can provide.

Motherboard: MSI B250 micro-atx
Processor: Intel i3-6100
Memory: 8gb or 16gb (I have not decided yet on size or make, suggestions needed)
Hard Drive: Either a Samsung EVO 250gb or a M.2?
Graphics: I have looked at the Radeon RX 480 but really have no idea
Power supply: Corsiar CS550M
WIFI: Broadcom BCM94356Z with adapter
Case: Thermaltake Core V21

Hello,
I would suggest going with an H170 board, you can look at this one:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128872&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-tonymacx86 LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=4902415&SID=

On the memory, if your sticking to a budget then go with 8GB. Make sure you get 2 sticks for dual channel.

Hard drive, I would suggest the Samsung EVO 250GB 2.5 SSD.

On the GPU I would go with the GTX 1050 or 1050ti. The RX 480 can give you a few problems. There are drivers for the GTX 1000 series now. Or if you can find a GTX 950 for a great price then do that.

Power Supply is ok.

For WiFi I would suggest another card. I would suggest the Fenvi card in the Buyers Guide for native support. Here is the link:

The case it ok. Ive built in this case before. You should have no problems with it.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the help! Is the H170 mother board more compatible then the MSI B250?

I believe so. Gigabyte has a good track record for hack compatibility. I've only used Gigabyte and tried an Asus with success.
