Hi all, I previously tried to install this hackintosh when I bought this build thinking of dual booting it with Win7. I got frustrated and decided to just have my 2 ssd drives on raid and purely win7. I do have a spare hd though and will attempt to install lion with it.

Here are my specs
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD5
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600k
RAM: 4 x G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB= 16gb Total (During install brought down to 8gb during install)
Keyboard: Das Keyboard
Mouse: Logitech G500
Bluetooth: ASUS USB-BT211 Mini Bluetooth Dongle USB 2.0
Wifi: ASUS USB-N10 USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter
Windows 7 HD: 2 x Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB on RAID
OSX HD: samsung drive 80gb

Method I will be proceeding is with creating a usb dongle using unibeast

Any guys have any experience with this board?
Will constantly update this and eventually turn it to a guide if i get it successful.

I just finished a new build with the Z68XP UD5 & 10.7.3 this week. I tried the f4 and f5 bios & DSDT combos and f4 gave me much faster cinebench results! However, I cannot get the machine to reboot or shutdown properly

Windows shuts down and restarts properly but when OS X shuts down, the computer never turns all the way off. I tried the EvOreboot but it doesn't seem to be working.

I used the Unibeast/Dual Boot (w/Windows 7)/Multibeast method with f4 DSDT. Everything works smooth (sleep works) except for shutdown and restart. Even got my GTX 570 fully working without a whole lot of effort.

Interested to know which bios and DSDT combo you use...

Progress report.

Was able to install lion successfully using unibeast
Ran multibeast with dsdt for F5 bios

Sound and Ethernet are working. Checked usb3 not working.

Updated to 10.7.1 to try ang get my evga GTX 570 working.
Trying to follow a guide. added 1086 at first but resolution was not changeable.
Trying adding 1081 now.

So far shutdown fully works. And reboot also.

What changes/modifications did you do to get your gtx570 working?

Thanks

I have seen this method but the one I tried was wayyyyyy easier. I am running 10.7.3.

First, I did a clean install and loaded only the f5 DSDT using Multibeast....

Rebooted (with out Unibeast thumb)...

Then I went to...

http://www.osx86.net/view/2408-geforceg ... .1.29.html

Downloaded the above kexts and loaded them with kext utility....

Then I loaded the latest CUDA drivers for Mac ver 4.1.29...

Reboot...

And voila. Fully working card.

I get anywhere between 40.35 - 42.67 fps in Cinebench at stock speeds w/i7 2600k.

Make sure to run sys util in Multibeast after each process. I'm pretty sure this is the fastest and easiest way to get the card working under 10.7.3.

Let me know if that works for you! I wrote most of the steps down, but I may have left something out...

That is exactly what fixed it for me. Just using kext wizard and loaded the kexts.Sweet
I got a 10871 from geekbench with stock i7-2600k plus only 8gb of ram. Will try and plug in my extra 8gb ram and play around to get usb 3.0 working.

Oh btw i have two ssd drives on raid which was my old windows installation. As SATA in bios was set to AHCI, can I switch it back to raid? and still dual boot windows and lion?

thanks
