Hello everyone,

I'm trying to install OS X 10.7 on my new GA-H77M-D3H mainboard by Unibeast Multibeast method.
It worked fine with the same hardware but GA-H61M-USB3-B3 mainboard.

When I'm booting to Unibeast it keeps hanging at "still waiting for root device".
For -v -x -f bootflags it stops at a white screen with mouse pointer after loading the kexts.

I tried changing the Sata mode, as well as plugging the SSD to Sata2 and using the IGP instead of PEG while installing.
Unfortunately nothing is changing.

I read that unibeast is successful on GA-H77-DS3H boards.
As I noticed, the only difference is the audio chipset, form factor and number of PCI(E) slots, that should't be the reason.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix the issue?

Hardware:
CPU: i5-2400
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H
RAM: 8GB DDR3 PC3-10600
Graphik: ATI Radeon HD 5450
SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB at Sata 3 (OS X system)
HDD: Western Digital 1TB at Sata 2 (home directory; data)

It's because you're plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Switch to a 2.0 port

That's not always true. I have had the same problem and I was plugged into a USB 2.0 port. Does anyone have a fix?

Re: Lion on GA-H77M-D3H (waiting for root device)

Thank you!
It's working in usb 2.0 port. (I was sure I had tried before)

I ran Multibeast with GA-H77-DS3H DSDT.
Used kexts: IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector, Trim Enabler, Motherboad Plugins, maolj's AtherosL1cEthernet
I can see Ethernet is recognized on verbose booting, and the system is waiting some seconds on marking TRIM.

Now I get a black screen after booting up, also in -v -f -x mode (local boot loader as well as unibeast).

Edit: It seems that it's caused by the DSDT file. Fortunately installation is very fast on ssd (but not good for life time),

I have solved the problem, almost everything is working fine now.
The key was to was to disable Graphics-Enabler.

I used GA-H77-DS3H DSDT; Trim Enabler and maolj's AtherosL1cEthernet kexts.
For Sound I deleted AppleHDA and used a modified VoodooHDA by lazybon3.

The only thing not working, is USB 3.0.
Is there a kext for USB 3.0 on Intel H77/Z77 chipset yet?

For usb 3.0 you need to wait for 10.7.5 or moutain lion
