lion compatibility?

I just purchased the GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H Motherboard and i5 3570K 3.4ghz cpu (unlocked) , Ive read that this motherboard is very compatible with osx so i hope theres others out there with same setup that can confirm!

This motherboard is on the Buyer's Guide so I don't think you need to worry about compatibility. But are you going to install Lion (10.7.x) or Mountain Lion (10.8.x)?

You need the latest version of Lion, 10.7.5, for your motherboard and CPU. Only 10.7.5 has support for Ivy Bridge.

Ok Thanks, I have it on dvd arleady if i remember correctly. Ill have to find it, is there a way to tell if i put it in the old g4.g5 downstairs to see what version it is?
