So I just got Lion successfully installed onto an i5 2.3 GhZ, 6 GB RAM laptop but now Ethernet isn't working. I installed the official driver for it using multibeast, and ethernet shows up in the network app but it says the cable is unplugged when it is firmly plugged in, and I tried the cable on my other computer and it works just fine.

Any thoughts? I've been working this whole weekend on this I want it to work

Any thoughts?

I just bought an ASUS USB-N53 Wireless Adapter and when I plug it in Ethernet says it's connected with an IP address but Safari still doesn't load and Wi-Fi doesn't show up under Network. Also, the driver disk that came with it is .exe... (And it's supposed to be PnP anyways)

realtek or what?

I'd recommend lnx2mac's installer first. Also, you ought to delete all the devices in networking, and then add them back.

I did install lnx2mac, which didn't work.

See it's supposed to be wifi but the drivers in multibeast are for ethernet.
