I'm testing with 2 monitors using HDMI and DisplayPort, and I can see some different colors in HDMI.

I think this is the problem.

There is a bug in NVIDIA drivers where using HDMI, did not setup full range RGB colors, only limited.

Is someone having the same problem in El Capitan? I would like to check if there is a tool to fix this on OSX.

This is the reason I use DisplayPort. Nvidia HDMI is limited, or at least was, to 16-235 and DisplayPort is the full 0-255 RGB.

I'm having this problem right now with DisplayPort. I'm getting limited range color in macOS. I had the same issue in Windows, but in Windows you can just toggle the setting to full.

I can't figure out any way to do it in macOS though, and it's driving me nuts! Anyone have any ideas? The limited color is so ugly. I need my blacks to be black!

You could try getting one of these DP to HDMI 2.0 adapters. Would allow you to use the DP port on your GPU rather than having to rely on the HDMI. Just make sure its an HDMI 2.0 adapter or you wouldn't be able to view 60FPS on an Ultra wide or 4k monitor. It was the reason i got it as my HDMI port is only 1.4, so I only could get 30FPS on my ultra wide.

Scratch that. miss read your post
