I have a PC with a motherboard and a processor that tonymac recommended a while back - GA-H55M-UD2H (here is a building guide from february 2011).
I'm wondering if i could make a hackintosh with MountainLion on this hardware, if i would buy a recommended graphic card from this months' build. Are there anything i should know, or more importantly - is this build even possible?
Let me write it down:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H
CPU: LGA 1156 i5 (the one before sandy bridge)
RAM: 20GB (i would use only 4 when installing)
Graphic card: ASUS GT640 2GB DDR3
PSU: 550W

Is this a natively supported configuration?

No problem with these hardwares, go ahead!

The brand is all the same.

Hello,
I have a similar system that you have:
GA-H55M-USB3
i5 processor
8GB ram
GT 210 graphics card
This system has been running Snow Leopard and I want to upgrade it to run Mavericks.
I replaced the graphics card with an ASUS GT640 2GB card and tried to install Mavercks. the install went good but when the system reboots i can never get to the desktop. It stalls at a line that says "NVEnabler: Probe: Rom shadow enable". That indicates that the nvidia card is not being recognized properly.

What did you do to get this to work or did you even try to put Mavericks on yours?
Thanks for the help
